- Bodged together exhaust system
- Leaky rubber loom gromet ( in bulk head area)
- wiring
- tapping from start up
- if the speedo works
- if temp gauge works

give engine some beans on test drive to see if it pulls well and doesn't hesitate

Ask to see it from freezing cold and check oil then check start up... Might tap for a few seconds but most do... Also check for smoke

Tappy engine isn't a massive problem as lon as it stops when it's warm, but if it doesn't tap then it's a bonus.
