NOt modified enough to put the value up, but just modified enough to bring the value down.

People dont like to buy modified cars in my experience. And the ones who might are a very small poercentage of potential car buyers, therefore lowering the value.

I'd pay no more than £500, maybe a bit more if it had loads of Tax, MOT, History etc

Of course a car being modified can bring the value down.

Say for example your off to buy a corsa C 1.8 SRi.

One has a set of shit wheels, a bad boy exhaust and a halford special filter.

The other is completely standard.

Which one would you buy?

Anyone who says the first is blatently lying/is a bit stupid.

As it is (with wheels and depos) you're looking about £800 max. I sold my 1998 sport in 2009 for £900

Times have changed and corsa's are getting older. I agree with gary though, not many people buy modified cars as they prefer to buy it standard and do it themselves

No, but it makes me laugh when people think the car increases in value after spendig money on it. at the end of the day the car is ageing daily so will decrease in value. its just how it is

Arsehole is not an amount of money. If he had said "What will people offer for my car" you'd be giving him a good answer, as I'm sure plenty of sluts would give up their anal virginity for a car.
