Have any of you ever tried this, opinions?

Downloaded the iphone app a few weeks ago and thinking about trying it.

Those of you who have no idea about it, its designed to get you from fat lazy bast (me) to running 10km without stopping in 13 weeks.

You start off on day 1 with 4.5min walk, 30 sec run. 4.5min walk, 30sec run. Repeated for about an hour.

You run 3 times per week, and each time it increases the duration or running.

Im crap at sticking to something, and when i do start, i usually go hell for leather, kill myself in 10mins and then am fucked for a week, so give up. Seems like a good way into it, as its designed for fat lazy basts like me!

Yeah i have buddy, its alright i suppose, i used the couch to 5k one but got bored and just went out on runs instead.
Whether that would work a little better i dont know? I can now run 10/6miles in around an hour at a steady jog, weighing 16st and 21% BF.

Yea, i think just running regularly would be just as good, but i like the idea of starting of very gentle, and slowly building it up.

Russ, i dont think there is anything worth running to within 100km of GY tbh

Atm....

ill probably struggle to do the 30 seconds after walking for 4.5mins.

No joke, walking up the stairs gives me pains in my thigh muscles. I dunno why though, i have a very demanding job, where i must walk a million miles a day.

Im just majorly unfit and 15 stone and 5ft 11

I can run for 2 hours solid at 5's, can swim a hundred lengths but can't run for any longer than 5 minutes normally

I find it extremely boring, especially when it is aimless.
