Hi all. Ive just bought a corsa sport that needs a new engine. I was told that the broken engine has a set of fast road cams in it. Doe anybody know how i can verify this. Cheers

Do them have GM markings? If so they are just re-profile's, Other than that, we could be here all day listing numbers etc, Just see what you have,.

The numbers on the end are 240101 and 101298. These numbers are on the coilpack end of the cams.

Do the 1.4s and 1.6s use the same cams?

Can't help with the numbers, google is good bet, or somebody will know.
1.4 and 1.6 have the same cam design and are interchangeable but there is little gain by fitting 1.6 cams in 1.4, I don't know what, if any timing difference between 1.4 and 1.6, but the cam lobes are .5mm bigger lift on a 1.6 than 1.4.

Ive took the cams out and they have a gm part number on them. The numbers on the end dont look genuine. They look as though they have been stamped with a punch
