I would be more concered that the shell hasn't rusted away by now as opposed to how many miles it's done.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Fairly difficult but not impossible, best advice is to take a good look underneath and see how much work it needs or has had.

And budget for metal repairs and welding.

Why are all GSi's rotting away? Is it just GSIs that rot that bad?

Not peculiar to GSis but front legs, sills, inner arches and rear floor on all Bs of that age need checking.

Plus the temptation to strip is far higher if you do discover it.

Have a genuine GSi shell in carabic blue, is tidy body and good underneath, paint looks lovelly, but has no bumpers, suspension, wheels etc

Perhaps not what your after, but worth a mention before it just gets weighed in

I'd have that white one if the current seller hadn't just put 500 quid on what he paid without actually changing much.

Wish I bought it off Dean now

Only got the engine running properly mate and put 12 months ticket on it. P.s not 500 more than what I paid. May I also add that I fitted brand new springs and bilstein yellow shocks (not cheap) and a brand new cat back exhaust (standard item)

Thanks

Sorry Harry didn't meant to be offensive, I'm just pissed I missed it.

Blame me being cheap.

I would love one, but where I live I couldn't leave it on the drive and expect it not to get damaged. not in a bad way, it's ust kids on bikes seem to always aim for my car.
