hey guys just a quick question cause ive done a search and couldnt find anything...unless im being thick has anyone got any tips to change the alternator cause mines started making a like swirling noise only sometimes though its intermittant but wanna change it before it goes altogether (i use my car daily for work)
looks a right bstard to get too..??

as above but there not a hard job realy ive changed mine before and i have a XE in my corsa your best off changeing the alternator belt why yout there for what ther cost

I just changed mine on my x16xe. I've got a powerbox on mine so it was an inlet off job so I could get to all the bolts. You may also need to drop the driveshaft down to get it out. My old one fitted through the gap but my new one wouldn't which was a bugger so it took longer than I thought!
