Has anyone here actually managed to successfully get compensation for a damaged parcel sent with a courier?
I'm in the process of doing this but I have a feeling I will have more of a chance of winning the lottery jackpot.

Does it somehow have something to do with a dog?

I've put a Few in, got a random cheque through once about 6 months after I submitted the claim

It was sent with DHL (@home) through Parcel2go.

I reckon your neighbours hi-jacked the courier and stole it.

I assume you have the tracking number from DHL, and have reported it as damaged.
Just ask for claim forms as the parcel has been mishandled in transit and they should email/post them out to you.

Yeah I've got the consignment note the courier gave me with all that info on there.
On the P2G website they asked for photos of the damage and a scan of the consignment note - I got the guy who received the parcel to email me the photos but as this is for something I sold him on eBay I have to refund him after he's sent the item back to me.
Does DHL or whoever need to come out and inspect the packaging first or do they just go off the photos only?

They should issue it off the photos and as long as your not trying to claims £100's you should be ok

Cool, it's only £50 compensation anyway.
Thanks Dan.

We had an issue a while back.
Basically, the company we used offered compensation based on weight of the goods, not the actual value.
As our item was light, we got a very small amount back.
absolutly disgusting.
