awrite. goin to look at a corsa gsi at the weekend whats the things i have to look out for?

any places that i need to check more than others?

looks a really clean gsi in photos, but what should i be expecting to see underneath?

its a m reg non sunroof. smoked grey. 70k service history.

Check the chassis legs, spare wheel and generally looks for welding under the car.
Check for bubbling along the top of the windscreen as well, mates GSi has this...

corner of boot floor.

View it from cold to check for smoke on idle, check for blue smoke when you give it some throttle(usually stem seals)

that one needs a new tps sensor mate. easy fix but pain in the ass. causes idle to be very erratic at times.

also needs a new backbox(current one is from new iirc)

thanks fazza. i do belive the car is aleex old car. funny as i actually went to veiw this car but ny mates car broke down in derby so never got there.

Yeah, the inlet is attached to the throttle body is a bloody awkward way!
PITA if you don't know what you are doing!

yeh alex old car.

is a good example of a clean gsi tbh

pretty sure alex gave the chap a tps sensor with it.

Looks awesome with the speedlines on it

I fault read it and gave the code as tps, only does it intermittently tho. will be fine for weeks then do it again.

I am glad someone else agrees how much of a pain c16xe engines are with the inlet/TB side of things
Take me and my mates dad about an hour to get it off do it no problems now though

no its nothing to worry about.

the part itself is about £20 from motor factors, its just mega fiddly to fit the part.

as said though, doesnt do it all the time

well today i looked at the car.underneath etc. tryed haggling but the lad wosnt having it. ended up buying it. with it fsh and 6 old mots. just need to fix the tps and it will be sweet as.

all in good time bud. theres plenty history with the car. actually 10 old mots. and paper work to show it whas undersealed 2 years ago. time to start a progress thread,
