It'll be a pretty ratty one I reckon for that price. Agree on the running costs too.

For that budget I think you'll be struggling for anything better than your original options. Leon Cupra R/Audi S3 are out of your range unless it's a tatty/high miler. Same with Golf R32/mk5 GTi.

Out of the two I'd probably go for the Astra.

I've never seen a golf r32/GTi for £3.5k lol

The EP3 is the best car for that kind of money.

Have decent EP3's dropped down to 3.5k yet anyway??

TBH,for that kinda cash,if you want a Honda,i would be looking for a nice DC2.

You won't be disapointed by the handling thats for sure.

I'm actually amazed at whats available for 3.5k these days.

Bit of a VAG hater tbh, it's really just for social purposes anyway, i dont need a car to commute.
