I've always said that if climate change was a serious issue then the first thing we should do is reduce farming for meat.

Intensive farming, be it livestock or arable, is highly polluting. I learned that in geography at school

I blame anyone that drives a Corrado VR6 because of the CO2 it emits.

I know a lot of farmers and none of them are spreading any more nitrogen than they absolutely need or doing any more miles in the machines than they absolutely need.

They're paying for fertiliser and fuel and it's self-regulating. The business is based around not wasting anything you buy. And they're investing largely in machines that do it efficiently to keep these costs down.

Not news and not necessary.

If the world genuinely wants to start taking action on our contribution to global CO2 it needs to start by limiting the breeding of the BRIC nations, as their expansion and subsequent drive in demand for food and consumables is the single biggest driver in increased energy consumption and resource strain.

Good luck with that.

Who says climate change is bad? I wasn't there, but I don't imagine I'd have much liked the ice age. I also struggle to see how that world wide climatic temp rise can be blamed on Range Rovers, cattle farming or budget flights to Malaga.

I wish all this climate change bullshit would just fuck off. I genuinely believe the human race has very little, if any, impact on what is a natural cycle of the earth. There were big climate changes before us and it will continue when we're all dead and gone

You mean leaving my TV on standby possibly has less effect than the gigantic open fusion reactor that supplies the entire solar system with energy? Or the molten ball of geothermal energy that's just under our feet?

Almost sounds obvious when put like that huh?
