Up to 3 years: Tots up towards the 12 point ban.
3-4 years: Stays on your licence, but no longer included in the 'totting up' procedure.
4-5 years: Removed from licence, but still need to inform insurance company (if they ask).

no you have to declare them for 5 years, it would mean that if you got any more points then they wouldnt count towards a ban
