I've just bought a set of used TD Prorace 1.2s for my trackdays.
They come with 2 sets of worn R888's. They don't have much tread left in them, some illegal to use on the road.

Questions...
Am I allowed to use them on track still?
How effective would they be considering they've been used pretty well?
Also, how do I find out what compound they are? The sidewall doesn't really say much.
Finally, do you need to generate a lot of heat in them before hand?

I'm going to book Oulton Park in early Summer. Just waiting for my brother's car to
get my engine fitted into it.

My local sign maker has made some aluminium ones for me now
Didn't expect the certificates to come through so early, so I needed them ASAP.

Another question, relating to slicks.

Trackday usage. Allowed?
I've been getting mixed comments about them. People have said that in order to run slicks, you must have a cage?

Entirely depends on the circuit, but I believe that's the case with Castle Combe.

Although in saying that, slicks are banned completely on their Performance Car Action Days like last weekend.
