when i start the car the revs seem to go all over the place and when i come to pull of it doesnt seem to want to and sometimes it cuts itself out and the rev keep sticking and then jurking the car, it also does it on a normal drive when i go about 2000rpm. it also is giving out a really bad oil smell aswell, really havent a clue, ive had the maf sensor, idle control vale and spark plugs done recently.

iv got a 1.6 corsa sport and yours sounds like its doing exactly what mine does .. turned out my bore was fucked so am puttin a new engine in .. try goin to a garage n get a compression test done?

thanks, hope the engine aint fked cuz ive spent a fortune in the past few months getting new parts for it. how much do these cost btw?

how much does a compression test cost? no idea bud, i got mine done for free as a favour.. he also had a little camera he put in where the spark plug went n it was clear to see it was fucked, maybe a garage in your area will have the same tool? also is she using alot of oil? coz mine was burnin oil so there was a constant stink of oil..

the oil hasnt moved it just stinks of it. ill take it a garage in a bit, been readin on a few sites n loads of people have had similar problems n could just be the afm that is faulty again, would a 1.0 16v afm fit my 1.2 16v just as a bit of process of elimination?

has the car got a decat? yeah it seems to happen alot, yeah i think the afm will fit from a 1.0 ..

no just a backbox, ill give the afm a try n if i have no joy ill go the garage, cheers for ur help mate
