Ive been to Canberra and its the cleanest town ever. Bit quiet though so chances are you'll save even more as there is nothing to do out there. Only a 4 hour train journey from Sydney
I'd jump at the chance to go to Australia for free and live there. Its an amazing country and i highly recommend it mate.
Buy a HSV 5.7litre V8!! Gorgeous motor. That or a Ford Falcon.

Canberra is a government town and has very little to do unless you are a tourist.
I reckon if you lived there it'd get boring but dont let that put you off. Internal flights are amazingly cheap and Sydney isnt that far away. I'd take it mate.
Pro's- Weather, Weather, Weather, more money, bigger engined cars, cheap food, better food, less immigrants, better standard of living, cleaner environment, free house, free car, experience of living abroad, big sports fans, bigger houses, more land, cheaper to live, quality accents, beer
Cons- Not seeing your mates, not seeing your family, hard to acclimatise, spiders, top ten most poisenous snakes live there, storms, shit football, cricket, leaving your home
More pros then cons in my opinion
Now fuck off!
