Sooo, i have just moved into a new flat and signed up straight away for BT line rental so i could get the internet (thinking i could only get the line rental off BT)

Now i realize i can get the line rental off talktalk or virgin, with the broadband for cheeper, im thinking i should cancel my line rental order!

I only took it out last night and it will not be activated until wednesday night.

Has anyone any experience with this?

Are talk talk any good? I wont be using a phone, just internet so im not bothered about calls!

Do not go with Talk talk for internet, they are rubbish. I am trying to get my mum to switch provider now, as again speeds are down to less than 1mb, despite them saying we should have 8mb! Its happened a few time now, we ring them up they try to give us some bull shit, so my mum will put my brother on who deals with phone/computer networking for a living, he tells them to stop fucking around then by the end of the phone call its back to normal speed again!

O also, they disconnected our line for about 2 weeks, which BT then had to fix, also tried to bill us extra for something.

TT and Virgin (ADSL) are pretty pants, you're better off finding a half decent LLU provider (Be, O2) and seeing what they can offer.

Talktalk is okay for me.

£9.99 a month for up to 8mb on unlimited (fair useage)

Averages about 6.5mb on tests and is reliable.

TalkTalk's LLU service is really good, if something goes wrong you are on your own though.

I switched to Talk Talk and only had 1 issue and that was an exchange issue, saved me quite a bit of money, however they were the only LLU provider in my area so i didnt have alot of choice
