planning on changing my standard corsa indicators for some led ring lights

am i best to...
cut off the old connectors and solder the new wires straight onto the old ones
cut off connectors and add spade connectors to both sets of wires

???

will either of them work?

probably easier to just keep the old indicator bulb wired in aswell, just hide it somewhere.

failing taht, you need to put in high wattage resistors (or anything that can disipate the same amount of power relay) Its the wattage you need to be looking at. 2x 10w resistors at some low ohm rating (not important what ohm) will do the trick, but you need two for each indicator to mimmick the presence of a 20-ish watt bulb.
