Hi, the corsa has now run out on mot on the monday, got a bus up to college today and well i hated it was packed and took 2 hrs... just wondering if its booked in for thursday would it be illigal to drive wednesday.. thanks if so whats the conciquensis?

Yes. The only time it'll be legal is driving it to a garage for a pre-booked mot

its already had a mot it failed and is re-booked for thursday.

Then it'll only be legal to drive back to the mot station. No where else.

Road Traffic Act section 47.

Fine is up to £1000 but I've never heard of anyone getting that much.

Also, while your insurance would still be valid, the insurer would be able to persue a civil case to recover costs if you crashed.

Highly unlikely you would be caught for it, I know people who have driven round for months by accident without one and also been stopped and got off on the understanding that it was an accident.

Although it is certainly illegal, and if you've booked it for the following day it's clearly not an oversight. Probably preferably to brave the bus one more time.

known a few people do that. 9 times out of 10 the police wont bother you aslong as you got tax.
obviously depending on how the coppers feeling and weather or not he's in a rush for his dinner
