Clean copper (no brass fittings etc) is £4.10 per kg at my local scrappy.

Isn't copper sitting at 5k a tonne just now? It was at the end of the year but obviously it may have went down!

£4 a kg for clean ie no other metals inc solder and £3.50 a kg for brassery ie copper with soldered fittings

our lasses son had a couple of bits of pipe and a 1cm thick cable of pure copper about 3 metres long and he got 17 quid for that, it was about 15kg iirc

Clean copper is about that price I think.

Copper generally works out 4-5x the amount of lead. We weighed in 650KG this week and got £600 so around £4k-£5k per tonne is about right

Copper plumbing pipe is cheaper than cable, cable is higher purity.

shiney copper, non burnt , does effect the price when scrapping.
