Does she actually go into the power plant (doubt it)? Or is it purely the surrounding area? 'Cus you've been able to visit the area for years.

that report also says theyve just started tourist stuff, id heard there were tours before but im not sure if they were official ones, or maybe they didnt take you right up close to the plant, or maybe they were just a myth

Says who, you can see her in some of the pictures.
The pictures you see with gas masks all over the floor are kind of fake, in that places such as schools kept them in boxes in storage rooms and people have just thrown them all over the floor and stolen parts for scrap.

I read something the other day stating that NOBODY has actually died from the effects of radiation apart from those imbeciles that were fighting the fires in the reactor.

Well the WHO reckon they'll probably see around 4000 deaths directly related to radiation exposure from the Chernobyl disaster. And let's be honest here as well, those men who went up on the roof of the reactor and the staff who were in the building at the time helped prevent what could have been a far worse situation arising.
