As some of you know I just got back from a little road trip around USA with my GF. It was an awesome holiday and I found it more fun than I was expecting!
Here is the route we took:
Worked out to be 1850 miles
From Dublin OH (I have family there) we made the 8 hour drive up past Detroit to Toronto in Canada. Stayed there for a day then headed down to Niagara falls and stayed there for a day.
From there we went to Buffalo for lunch as we wanted some Buffalo Wings. Then onto Westchester to stay with my GF's family for a night. We then went to Manhattan NY for a couple nights (3 days). This was the best part of the trip! We did an 8 hour walking tour that was tiring but VERY worthwhile. If you are ever over there you MUST book a tour with these guys: http://www.realnewyorktours.com/
We ended up spending an extra day that we hadnt budgeted for so this meant driving well into the night to make up time. We ended up stopping in a random truckers motel in Clearfield Pennsylvania
Then it was back to Dublin for a last dinner with the family and some shopping at the Outlet Mall.
That is a VERY compacted version of events but I don't want to bore you all
We had a Hyundai Genesis 3.8 V6 hire car. Really nice! Had full leather with XM digital radio etc. Made the drive very comfortable.
Was not a cheap holiday, especially New York, but it was well worth it. Next time I fancy doing a fly drive on the west coast so I can hit Vegas

There were no murders
The Motel 6 I stayed in for the night in Albany did have police tape blocking off part of the hotel though
I was slightly out of my comfort zone. It just was not Stratford-Upon-Avon.
