Games like Gears, it isn't about the download, its all about the upload speed or at least it was before they introduced dedicated servers.

I find the line ok for things like COD etc so maybe im just making excuses

I'm kinda having the same problem mate and its defo not my connection as I have 1Mb upload and duno about the beta but Gears 2 needed around 600-800kbs to run optimally. I'm just wank at it tbh
I rocked at Gears 1 but ever since then, the game has changed so much and I haven't been able to adapt.
Oh well, I still rock at CoD

I think because of my average K/D and scores on CoD i presume im going to do well, and tbh i suck at gears
Although i deffo will get 3 when i comes out, i'll just have to try harder.

Gears is a run and gun game and most ppls don't do that in CoD, you can't play Gears like CoD, just won't work
Whats annoying me the most in the beta is ppls can run straight thru ya bullets and gun you in the face.
In Gears 2, you couldn't do that coz you got stopped in your tracks by gunfire. They need to bring that back in the main game.
