Im currently considering getting a track car and a cheap run about, how ever the track car will need to be road legal and insured

Has anyone been in a similar situation,

3years driving
2NCB

Why does your track car need to be road legal?

Surely a trailer + track insurance would be the best bet

Lot harder to find somewhere to store a trailer, plus would need to do test etc. Plus its also handy to have the track car still road legal so can bed brakes in, etc

Some companies like Brentacre will mirror your ncb so you can have them on two policies with them. Might be a good option if its going to be modified etc

Track car will be modded, factor that in.

You also can't drive it as hard if it needs to get you home.

Trailer just isn't possible without paying shed loads on a big garage to keep it in

Beavertail tranny as a daily?

Van with one of those A frame jobbies.

Shouldn't need to do anOther test. Track car should be 8-900k, plus a ton in your towing car. Leaves plenty for trailer.

Would be cheaper to get a garage than to pay for extra insurance.

If you can store an extra car you can store a trailer just a bit more work moving the car on off the trailer

im 22
4 or 5 years ncb
ibiza + zed on admiral multi car

works out just as expensive to insure both as it was to insure just the zed.

edit paying 900 iirc.

Nope, can have a car on the drive at home, but a trailer would be too wide

Trailer doesnt have to be in a garage if you can get somewhere decent to store it and have a good lock on it

get a dolly or A frame then, fold down to virtually nothing and just buy a car thats a decent tower aswell.

A frame will mean the car still has to be taxed, insured and MOT'd as the rear wheels are touching the road.
