Is It possible to do so? I'm selling my c2 and it isn't due it's first mot yet. Guy has called asking if I can mot and he'll pay full price, obviously subject to him paying a deposit. Can I do so?

Surely same rules apply as to normal MOT? So If you MOT it more than 30 days before MOT is required, new MOT will be valid from the day it is MOT'ed?

What would be the point if it's not due yet? leave it up to him if he wants to get it done. You can get it done a month before it's due.

It'll also probably show up on electronic searches for that car and if you don't end up selling it this time, future buyers may be put off as it wasn't already due.

Does look a bit like it's had a prohibition notice or something and you've needed to do it to get it back on the road.

Surely if buyer leaves a deposit this shouldn't be an issue to OP.?

My car was mot'd at 2 and half years. You can not a car at any point. The 30 days before is to preserve the original anniversary date

Still doesn't mean they'll end up buying it. In reality it's not worth a carrot because they'll just moan and ask for it back if they pull out.

You can MOT it at any time. Some local authorities require licensed vehicles (taxi/private hire etc) to have an MOT from new, as well as the usual taxi test etc.

I sent him a message saying I can't be done until a month before it's due etc. He replied calling me a liar and the fact I am clearly selling as it has run out of warranty and is going to fail an mot. Twat.

Sounds like you got a lucky escape mate.
Even if you'd got the MOT i'm sure he'd have tried to blag money off or moan about something or other.
