Renewal has just come through - £50 more expensive than last year (even though I've just gained another years NCB). Hmph.

Quick search shows it's the cheapest around by about £45-50 so grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

So I'm sorry to everyone that I've told isn't trying hard enough to find cheaper quotes. Gunna have to try and play two companies off against each other - I'm not leaving IAM surety though

Photoshop

They also gave me the policy before I sent proof in, don't know if they would have asked for the proof if I didn't

Just drive uninsured, you'll only get a £250 fine if you ever get caught....cheaper than paying for insurance

What kind of percentage are people finding it has gone up this year?

This could be a massive problem for me

Have you tried LV? I couldn't find anywhere cheaper this year than my Tesco renewal at £412 until I did a like-for-like quote with LV who came up trumps at £298

Work this one out - to add my missus to my policy until the end of February with no accidents, points or convictions but only 24 and driving only 6 years with 5 years NCD cost £11.46. Cost for comparison £1.27 a month

To add me to her policy with no points, convictions and only 1 Non fault accident cost £38.00 until the end of August. Nearly 28 and driving 10 years with 10years NCD. Cost for comparison £12.66 a month

By that logic, to insure me is 10x the amount it is to insure her
