So would, the B-17 is my fav plane from the war. My gran always saw them flying around cos of being right between Pod and Bassingbourne. Also had Tempsford with Halifax bombers just up the road. My gran had to have her swing cut down when an Aussie one crashed behind her house. Sadly they all died.

Lucky the guys in the Liberty Belle got out alive and unharmed. I remember from a youtube news clip a French one crashed during the filming of Memphis Belle in 91, that caught fire too. Seen most the vids of Pod on the tube, gonna buy that documentry on it actually.

Hoping to dress up in August when I go to Twinwoods festival as a member from the Mighty 8th too.

Just can't believe this one has gone. Cos aswell as Airshows you could have flights in it over San Francisco. Hope they have plans for it, and remake it as the engines look like they can be salvaged, and most the cockpit instruments too.
