Now i know you cant in effect make a car look newer than it is, so therefore cannot put something like: MY06 REG

On AA05 ABC as it would make it look a year newer...


However, what im wanting to know is can you put something like S11 ABC on something like N111 ABC as the private plate is clearly a private reg and not really making it look newer?


any ideas as the DVLA site doesnt leave much to the imagination?

It does make it look newer - N would be on a 95/96 and S can't be older than 98.

I ment as the S only has two number digits following it... does that still classify as making it look newer?

Yes, it doesn't matter how many digits, if it's that style it's the 1st letter that matters

Cheers for clearing that up, wasnt sure if it was only the first digit that counted or the whole style of the plate

Shep, what i said above clarifies what i ment as the one had 3 number digits and the next only 2.

Still applies with 1 digit.

It's the first letter that counts.
