Yeah very common problem with those seals, I have been putting it off since I got the car since I thought the seals would be mega expensive as the door seals are like £150 for 1 , but for the 4 seals I got they were under £40

yeah fazza beast a pic up.
The undertray stops shit hitting the engine belts etc and also better aerodynamics, they are supposed to have them as standard but are really shit and also have a tendancy to fall off.

Cheers

Made the undertray today, took fooking ages, but I wanted a professional build.

Offered up and draw the design...

Cut and de-burred the edges...

One undertray...

Bolted to bumper...

Bolted up to rest of arch liners etc
Finished!
Got to say the front end does feel a bit more planted at high speed corners.

Put some polybushes in the rear trailing arms.
This is copied from a tutorial I did for a bmw forum as I CBA writing it again.

Before starting put the new poly bushes in the freezer to shrink them a bit, this made life a bit easier.
First jack up the rear end and put an axle stand under the sill, or use the standard BMW jack as you will need the proper jack later.
Un bolt the shock lower bolt with an 18mm socket.
undo the 2 brake line bracket bolts with a 10mm socket(pic)

Place the jack under the trailing arm to support it, use an 18mm socket to unbolt the 3 trailing arm bush bracket bolts (Mine were extremely torqued and needed heated to get loosened, as they would just snap with force)
Use 2 18mm sockets to remove the bush bracket from the bush, I used a wheel brace and a racket, the racket was held against the inner arch for the right hand side and held against the trailing arm on the left hand side (pic)

Once thats removed, I used a racket to jam the trailing arm lower for improved access (pic)

Then you need to drill out the rubber and move the drill about to cut more of the rubber, beware of very hot molten rubber flying about!(pic)

Then smash out the metal piece in the middle, I used the jack handle against this and hit it with a hammer, came out easily.
Then remove the rest of the rubber.
You will be left with an aluminium piece round the edge, hit this out with a flat blade screw driver and hammer. I needed to use a file to file away the metal that was stuck on. (pic)

After thats done you should be left with this (pic)

I used this time to put some underseal, above the bush (pic)

I then cleaned the bush holder with WD40 and a wire brush (pic)

Then use the grease supplied (normal copper grease) and grease it up (pic)

Press the 2 halves in, bolt the bush bracket back on tighten to 80lb/f, use the jack to move the trailing arm back up, put the 3 bolts back in and tighten them (not fully tight) use a hammer to hit the trailing arm back into position using the rust marks where the bolts were origionally set (will need 4 wheel alignment anyway) then tighten to 56lb/f.
Put the brake line bracket back on, bolt up the shock again to 80lb/f...DONE!

Bugger me what a difference it made, I actually laughed a bit on the back road testing it

Changed diff and Gbox oil

Was actually more clear than in the photo and the Gbox oil was a nice red/brown colour, so diff and Gbox are very good

Just put on new...
Rear disks
Rear pads
Rear handbrake shoes
2 handbrake cables
Rear tyres
1 small brake pipe
£££
fucking raging...

Only failed MOT on the tyres and the handbrake being shit
Which I then uncovered more stuff needed doing.

Well its back on the road
Even though the astra is a lot newer it just doesn't compare.

Had a strange grinding noise from the front...
