coming to a round about froma duely around 80 just before i brake, car fills with smoke from under the dash, pull over open bonnet nothing, fired it back up put fans on nothing drove another 30 cautious mile fine :@

No idea what happened seems fine now, just bought a track slot aswell!!!

oil or electrical...

should be able to tell by the smell.

If from under dash it sounds like something has shorted out and burnt the wire insulation. Check fuses, wiring etc

I bought a corsa and someone had literally ripped the radio out, I was driving to its MOT and the whole car filled with smoke, it was a fucking horrible smell.

there was a bust bottle of water in footwell but smoke ccame from both sides,

Will rip the carpet up this week see if anything is fried, if it doesnt catch fire first

Sure your dipper was down properly?

On my old fiat bravo, it wouldnt seal properly so when driving it would smoke. Took ages to figure out what it was as the oil that would come out would burn on the exhaust manifold so you wouldnt really see it.

sure it was smoke? I thought shit loads of smoke was pouring into the cabin of mine but it was steam after the heater matrix went pop

easy to tell if it smells plasticy then electrics. if it smells err oily, it oil, if it smells fishy its steam
