Does the heatgun work on black plastics i.e does it make it go black again? and how well?

Works well, Just be wary of arch trims as they tend to warp with heat, Do it gently and it might turn out ok.

Works very well. I used it a good few times on my corsa. Just hold the heat gun away and move closer till you start to see the plastic turn black, that way you dont go too close. Would take some intense heat and not moving the gun to warp it, never had any problems with mine and went fairly close at times.
