Spent all last week on acceptance trials for 4 of these,

Brief spec; 2 x 225HP V8 Yamaha Outboard motors, 45knots, massive Electronics spec and Shockwave seating

Heres the vid, its only the rough edit at this stage - the Videographer took over 8hours of video total - enjoy

yeah, driving all the way through; obviously not both boats. I'm in red trousers and red life jacket, other fella is all in Black

Its pretty easy to be honest, Power Steering feels like City/Girl mode in a Punto. Seats mean you feel nothing either, really chuffed with them

45 knots doesn't seem a lot? My friends cheap ass speedboat will pull 40 with a 85hp on it.

Just started doing a bit of work for someone who makes shock mitigating seating for military boats. Fact of the day.

This will do 45knots into a head sea with a 4.5m Significant wave height for 8hours in a row though and won't fall to bits. It'll do it with 12 people on baord and the only thing that'll stop it is crew fatigue

His speedboat is likely a Fletcher or similar, which is made of toilet roll and glue

There's a difference between 45knots on a lake/coastal and 45knots offshore

ed, whos is that?

As far as I'm aware, the only true military boat "shock mitigating seats" are the Ullman and the Shockwave, Scot Seats are doing a few as well but I personally don't like the latter. Love the shockwaves though!!

Scot Seats then. To be totally independent from my company and thsi is my opinion only, I really don't rate them

the front horseshoe is almsot solid; its a proper ball breaker in the rough. Also not convinced by the aluminium/stainless cable arrangement and galvanic corrosion issues down the line but I will no doubt be proved wrong

I don't know much about it, I'm just contracting for one of the guys there doing some FEA and possibly turning some sketches into CAD for him in the future. Looks like a nice bit of kit and they seem to be quite popular

it does look nice granted but I think someone is going to smash their balls to pieces one day, trap and cut off their fingers in the spring mech and the base is going to rot to pieces but that's only my opinion.

Oh I also think the wings will break someone's RIBs as well
