Author first startup after head swap help please, ( oil light not coming on first, why? )

just swapped cylinder head on 1.6 sport
haynes manual says on first startup to turn over till oil light goes out but i am not getting an oil light come up

also says to disconnect witing for ecu for fuel on left hand side of inlet but not sure which one that was? any help there?
I just just connected injector connectors and coil pack one to stop any spark or fuel hopefully while just turning it over

any advice and help much appreciated, wasnt it too start

supposed i could check. how can i tell the bulb is working like how can i make the bulb come on to check lol?

like the air bag one? are they all the same? will check tomo though aswell
