Eat beans the day before you go and then you can blow you air bed up with you arse!
Dont need a puller to get pegs out.... When putting them in make sure you have 1 over and then use the hook to pull them back out!
Deffo get a massive tent as its a twat if its raining and your "indoors" and cant stand up

Problem with large tents is setting them on your own can be a bit of an arseache.
As said though, majority of pop-ups are a bit crap as they are usually tunnel tents so aren't very stable (especially if someone takes a fly out). If you DO want one though, look at Outwell Fusion; used one for a weekend and it was ok.
I'd go with a 3/4 man, with the idea that it can be used in the future for 2 people (usually it's recommended to double the size for the people sleeping; so a 4 man for 2 people), double skin (single is useless) dome (or semi geodesic, bit more stable than domes; note that a lot of manufacturers have gone down the tunnel route) tent. Might be worth looking at square profile (poles are squared rather than a continuous curve), tents usually cost a bit more but it does mean you get a bit more head-room. And aim for a decent hydrostatic value, 3000 is a good figure (1500 is the min I believe).
Have a look at Go Outdoors and Outdoor World, probably can pick up a bargain.

I fail to see the point in camping in a site with electricity, water and all that other shite personally. Might as well just go the whole hog and book a Premier Inn.

I want to give it a go to see if it's viable for future trips.
Money saved on accomdation means more laps more fuel and more merchandise
