I was pumpin out some choons it my local maccy d's wen they kept cutting out like it was the CD jumpin but actually the head unit was turnin its self off it only seems to do this wen the engines not runnin is it sumthin to do with the battery not too worried just curious ne help appreciated

Yea all connections are fine as i said it only does it wen engine is not runnin

This happrned to me me at pv2003, the otherday mate, however i think mine due to the fact i was watching dvds in my car all night with the ignition on ;(.. the car started the following morn and then died, check ur battery/ atlinator... ive got to invest in a decent bat and bigger alt

I got a good battery from halfords in rayleigh, its nearly twice as powerful as the standard one !

if your headunit kept switching off then its the protection feature kicking in where it isnt recieving enough power.
A split charging system or an Optima will sort you out, even an orange top will do.

um no cos in his case a power cap will draw even more power with the ignition off, and a cap wont hep the headunit

my car stereo did this a couple of times i had a full car load of peeps and the amp turned off wasnt gettin enuff power coz the engine needed it to run! lol that why my back seats are on there way out

mine used to do this when i had ignition off too. Was cause my battery was going dead and the headunit turned itself off and on again coz there wasn't enough power. Normally meant i had a flat battery. Dave
