Putting a private plate on retention at a local dvla office.
Do I have to go to the office or can I send someone on my behalf if I have already signed the docs?

Also how long does it take. I've always done it by post

As long as its been signed anyone can do it. It normally takes a couple of weeks, sometimes less to be processed as it goes to Swansea.
