Yup, afternoon tea is decent there as well. The Ivy isn't too bad either.

I thought Claridges was pretty average considering the bill was £350 odd for 2. Would go for Olivers' Fifteen or The Savoy (haven't tried the it yet, but everyone i know says it's pretty impressive).
The Swan at the Globe is suppose to pretty good considering the cost.

I've always fancied the restaurant run by blind people, iirc it's caleld Blind or Dark. You're served and eat entirely in the dark, not a single light to heighten your senses other than sight

I highly recommend circus in covent garden/soho!
Bit different and if you get a good time slot you get to see the show at the main table!

Dans le Noir? Heard the food is really really good, but the whole sitting in the dark is meant to be a bit...'different'

Adiohead - Someone was talking to me about Manna last week, said it was good. Be interesting to see what you think

I've been to a couple of nice restaurants when visiting family in London.

Tom Aikens tasting menu was absolutely out of this world when visited recently however for me St John is probably the best and most relaxed dining experience I have ever encountered.
