Bought a car off an elderly lady, she filled her name and address in the "new keeper" section before i got there
is it alright to tipex this out and put my details in, or am i going to have to include a letter to dvla.

id include a letter and staple it to it. also put a black line through

just tipex it and write over it done it a few times and had no probs

Why do you need to send the supplement to the DVLA? The seller will just send the other part to have the registered keeper changed...

You'll only need the new keeper supplement if your taxin the vehicle or putting on a private plate or get asked about the car. Iv bought 6 cars and never bothered filling them in and never needed them. Wouldnt bother with a letter to dvla
Edit: read it wrong. Id phone and explain and see what they say, may not need to send letter and clear it up with them. Could wait 3 weeks then be told its void even with the letter or whatever

its not the seller supplement that i keep, its the actual form. i know she is supposed to send it but didnt want her fucking it up anymore so said i would take it with me

thats the bit the seller fucked up. i took it so she didnt mess it up anymore or not send it at all

my mate done this once selling a car filled in the new keeper bit, he phoned dvla an the said to just write correct details on a piece of paper an staple it on, an write a letter in to explain what happend

least u gt th v5 bud im stil waitin on mines coming through so wnt ti order a knew one coz i have ( HAD ) the new keepers bit n now i cant find it GUTTED!
