does any1 know if its possable to get cool running fan switches.
Ive already got cool running thermostate that works really well

For your situation I would wire a manual override to the fan - piece of piss, there may even be a tutorial.

making it run cold will probs create a whole load of problems but iv got a manual fan wired upto were gsi's have a front fog switch's, but that was purely because no matter what i tried i couldn't get the fan working. turned out that the fan wasn't getting enough volts somehow.
when its near enough 100 degrees i just press the button and switch it back off at about 95ish. but that only when in traffic/drive through's
