seems cheap and looks good but can it only be used as a pc monitor or could you somehow hook a tv up to it ?

you'd need convertors pain in the arse. unless you have a tv card in the computer

HDMI to DVI cable is only £5-10 if your input source (sky etc) has HDMI, would need an audio input (mini jack to mini jack) so would have to make sure your source has audio out.
