Looked to see if there was a thread on this but couldn't see one - it's vital we get as many names on this new e-petition as quickly as possible as once it hits 100,000 signatures it will be debated in Parliment - read below and please sign it! And tell all your friends and family to sign it too. Thanks.

"Dear FairFuelUK Supporter,

The battle for cheaper petrol/diesel prices is at a crucial stage. 10 days ago, the Government made a new on-line facility available to get issues that concern the public aired in the House of Commons. Consequently, If 100,000 citizens sign our petition on the Government's new ePetition site then the issue of cheaper petrol/diesel will be debated in Parliament.

This morning, our petition on the Government site has reached 36,000 signatures. We need a further 64,000. Our own FairFuelUK petition at www.fairfueluk.com has 200,000. However, these campaign supporters unfortunately do not count towards the ePetition on the new Government site. It is absolutely vital that we get to 100,000 within a few weeks. The only petition ahead of us is the one relating to the recent riots.
If you have already signed our petition on the Government ePetition site – thank you! Please try to encourage other friends, colleagues and contacts to do the same by forwarding this email.

If you haven’t signed, please do so NOW at http://bit.ly/FFUK-Gov. Failure to hit 100,000 will set the case for lower taxes on fuel back years.

Please remember, every signature really counts. It really does!

Very kind regards,

The FairFuelUK team"

Incorrect, when it hits 100k signatures they'll think about debating it in Parliament.

you do realises prices are coming down today ....

as said though the petition will do sod all, so would blocking a road it will just cause a shortage in places and then cheaper fuel for a week or so and then go back up to recoop the losses they made when someone thought it would be a clever idea to block the roads.

at the end of the day its never going to go down, people rely on it therefore they can really charge what ever they want and the chace the government will reduce tax on it is very very unlikely especially not the way the country is going and having to spend a fortune on repairs from the riots and shiz like that.

oh and from what i heard on the radio yesterday... most companies make around 1p if not less per litre of fuel.

Rioting is making the fuel go up imo, everytime matey has to be called in his 350z to put the country at ease he charges the government 40 per mile. thus putting fuel up

The point is that it is a constant pressure by the public of there opinion. Other than that it might as well be a dictatorship where they can charge what they want and the public have no say in the matter.

Lets face it we no one will stop buying petrol, but im sure at this moment of time with all the pressure placed on the goverment with the riots they are going to want to get the public back on side one way or another. id say its worth a few seconds of your time, even if its a slim chance

its debatable, some say the throw will be smoother and it will get there faster, but others say you get less distance.

The additives will clean the insides of the bomb though resulting in a much smoother and precise explosion.

Remember how it went from £1.20odd back down to 85p odd....nobody ever thought that would happen....so who knows, a blockade is needed really.
