Anything that will clean engines without damaging it. Any recommendations? Only want some cheap half decent stuff. Or will it be alright with a bucket and sponge? engines out the car btw.

Rich, I've got CV grease all over the bottom/back of my engine, you reckon spraying in gunk and pressure washering the shite off will be ok? Obviously I'll steer clear from any prolonged periods on areas with sensors...

i struggled to get cv grease off my wheels with degreaser and a pressure washer, ended up using methylated spirits then a good wash with soapy water

You'll need a strong spirit based cleaner followed by degreaser to shift that stuff mate, it's an absolute PITA!
Clutch & Brake cleaner doesn't do a bad job.

Was gonna say I used spirit wipe andvbrake cleaner on my wheels

Cheers guys I'll give gunk a go first although it looks like it won't work but may get the loose stuff off first!? Then try brake cleaner, failing that a cheap sponge and soapy water!
