We stayed in St Erth, visited St Michaels mount (awesome btw) Penzance was depressing as hell. We got train to St Ives and saw some awesome beaches on the train but no idea how to find them

Tbh most tourists aren't made to feel welcome in Cornwall lol

You will have gone through Hayle then ,where there are perhaps the best beaches in Cornwall I grew up there, awesome place.
Penzance is dire, hate the place

The Cornish are very funny people when it comes to outsiders, I am still classed as one even though I have been here 19 years.

The only redeeming feature of Penzance was I found some delapidated skate shop that still had DVD revivals in I had been searching for for years so purchased them lol. Oh that and the helicopters are cool.

Have to check out Hayley, last time we stayed in Cornwall we stayed basically in the sea in a cottage that was amazing in the brochure but turned out to be miles from anywhere and just a giant room with a kitchen bedroom and living room all in one.

What's wrong with that? Not everyone wants to spend thousands and go somewhere like the Maldives. I know people that would rather go to Cornwall.

What the fuck is wrong with Cornwall?

I bet a honeymoon in some of the places I know down here would be a lot nicer than most abroad.

Sorry Ben, didn't realise it was important to leave the country!

We have no money, everything has been done on a budget, we've spent less than most people would on a venue on the whole wedding, including rings, flowers, the lot.

To us, the most important thing is actually getting married, not the party or the holiday afterwards.

I don't have a passport, I have a chronic fear of flying and suffer from panic attacks, I'm going to be stressed enough from standing up in front of everyone and doing my speech.

What's the point in worring about getting on a plane, then having 3 days of sun before shitting myself about getting on a plane again? Exactly, there isn't any.

As it happens, we both like Cornwall, the north side of the coast can be amazing, especially if you get a bit of sun.

Oh and yes, she is a lucky lady, she's marrying me!

If it's all about showing off and spending as much money as possible for you, then good luck to you, but' it's not the way I believe in doing it.
