Tough choice, Ford have made some pretty awesome cars in their RS series, Sierra/Escort Cosworth's are awesome, I think Ford has the heritage but I don't like their modern cars all that much, was in a new Ka the other day with just me, my mate driving and his 3 year old in the back and what a squeeze that was 
Vauxhall have done good with some recent cars, I.E Lotus Carlton (yeah its not that recent but still) VX220 and the VXR range is good, tough choice considering I'm a Vauxhall fanboy so I'll remain impartial.
