I have arthritis in the joint between my big toe and foot. Horrible when its cold/damp. Also got some loose bone floating around on the bottom of the same big toe which starts to really sting about 60 mins into a game.

Going to see a foot specialist in October to get it all looked at.

Had a look at them this morning and decided to order one, give it a try. ANything that might prevent me from breaking my foot again has to be worth a go.

Do metasox help with twisted ankles? Did mine in July and not played since. Still not full strength yet, just wondering if it might give it a bit of support? Supposed to start playing again in a week or 2.

I have just had my leg taken out of a cast for a "severe sprain/fracture" and the doc has said to wear a tubi-grip when playing football. I've seen some videos on youtube where people wrap their ankles up to stop your ankle moving to much to the side to stop a sprain, have to go to a physio to see what thats about.

Meta-sox are for your metatarsal really - http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/Products/Pro-Direct-MetaSox-Football-Elite-Sport-Sock-Soccer-Sock-White-35299.aspx?spr=1

Ah, you'll have to let us know how you get on with them, i find that sometimes that part of my foot hurts after a long game from shooting/being stamped on.

Tbh would off thought it would improve shooting performance as mentally your willing to put more power into your shot as you no you have padding in that area ...

That is bollocks. It's a football not a bowling ball.

Saying I would off thought it would :s

Clearly your not a thinking out the box kinda guy

If you no youv got extra padding your more than likely goin to throw more into your shots
But then again it could have an adverse effect and take power out off it

I'm going to see how it feels on Sunday so I'll report back then

Which what my "opinion" is

Mine arrived Saturday so tried it out yesterday morning.

Got stepped on a few times which normally leaves me bruised but no bruising at all. So im gonna say in that aspect it it worked well.

Cant really comment on the shooting deabate though.

We won 8-3 by the way
