Ive just put a c20xe in my corsa, looking to get more power out of it looking for around 180-190bhp what would i need to do to get it to around that power (moneys not a problem) also was just wondering if it was worth getting a coscast head for it, and what is the difference between a standard head and a coscast 1 cheers.

not much difference in the 2 heads.
coscast heads have larger valve guides and are less like;y to go porous (aparently) but will be no power gains from fitting one over standard.
to see those power figure your looking at carbs like twin webber 45s + a cam shaft and pulley to suit. then a good exhaust manifold and system. the best option for exhaust manifold will be SBD but they are £500+.
that should see you around 180bhp providing the engine was good to start with.
after that your looking at head work.

as mike56gte says its less likely to go porous with no real benifits to the running or power of ther car

The only benifit the cossie head would give is that if you where getting £700 quid worth of head work done then it would be better off to take the cossie head over the gm one. If you are leaveing the head std then there is no point in swaping it over unless you have one sitting there doing nothing. The porous head story is massivly over blown as well lol

basic ITB kit, mild cams and mapping will give you the power you want.

It doesn't matter whether having 200 or 2000 worth of headwork done, you still wouldn't have to use a coscast head. The best best to use is the later dispac gm head, inlet ports are already quite large compared so easier to work with when porting.
Early coscast as said have 13mm guides where gm and later coscast heads have 11mm guides, early coscast also have smaller diameter valve seats and not the best if went +1mm valves and tbh need port boring as the inlets measure about 22.5-23mm.
As for cams don't bother with ast1612s, there shite, standard cams give more mid range power and torque...got rolling road graphs to show back to back on same engine.
Drop me a pm or txt and can have a chat for some decent specs, and see whayt your after from the car as a few quid spent in right direction and no xcuse not to run 210bhp+

They all go porous! Common myth.
