I thought the brakes on the astra are pretty damn good. I thought they were equally on par with the brembo's and fancy discs i had on my megane.

Very true, the cars held up pretty well but will have slowed down a fair bit from the 90mph they were alleged to be doing as they smacked the kerb and crossed the lawn
