My sis is insured with diamond on her KA, was £680, shes 18, mum and dad named drivers. I could be on there for another £30 (I'm 22) but I can drive it third party so there was no point. That's FC btw

as of december 2012 the insurance companies aren't allowed to give women cheaper insurance.. due to a report earlier this year on gender discrimination... about time i think anyway..

Having mum and dad on there practically halved the quote. We are lucky to live in a good area though

I have never paid more than £900 for insurance in my life. I'm 24 now but at 17 I paid £890 FC on a 1.0 Corsa C. Helps alot to add parents as named drivers. Also I live in a good postcode which helps alot.
I now pay about £400 FC on a Astra coupe 2.2, £160 FC on Viva and £120 FC on Honda CRF250X.
