As the title suggests have you ever been or know someone that has?

If you've been, what did you think of it? Are there any places that you can't miss if you go there?

Cheers

I go a lot with work, mainly to Stavanger, Oslo or Kristiansand

It's a great place but quite expensive. Definitely a holiday you'd remember but don't expect an 18-30's style holiday!

Fjord trips are the shizzle but watch out for the trolls..

We are looking at doing a road trip up from the bottom to the Arctic Circle. I've been looking on the visitnorway.com site and there seem to be loads of amazing places to stop on the way.

Not an easy place to drive through.. Too many wet bits! Sounds awesome though

I can't recall the name but there's an ex soviet spy village in Northern Norway that is supposed to be pretty eiree. Sounds pretty cool, apparently all the Russians left overnight when their cover was blown

I was in downtown Stavanger during freshers week. Unbelieveable amount of hotties, the Scandinavian look is definately much better than what we have here

Yes, It's bloody lovely

People are very friendly but it's hideously expensive. I was over there for business purposes so it wasn't bad as most was covered for me. £9.80 a pint and one night I paid around £38 pound for an all you can eat pizza and pint meal.

Prepare to eat alot of junk when you're there too

I was up at Molde for a few days Prior to going to Bergen. Molde was very remote and stuff to do in free time was limited! Bergen was great though, plenty to do

I've been to quite a few places there and always say I want to go back!

Yeah I've been to Molde too, very nice. Did you fly there? Shit myself coming into land as the runway is literally in the water in the middle of a load of snow covered mountains

It's the prettiest country I've been to come to think of it

Haha yeah There was like 3 connections. Manchester to Oslo was fine. Oslo to somewhere else was ok ish... a bit bumpy. I shit bricks coming into Molde though It was February when I went so it was -9 and 3 foot of snow everywhere and you could see the ice forming on the wings of the plane

They seem to be bloody good pilots over there

I found Molde Very similar to a couple of places local to me, apart from the fact that there is a 2 mile fjord (sp) in the middle

Same here, wouldn't be able to bear any colder I don't think! They mentioned that they are complete nutters in Trondheim

One of the lasses over there said that they are Known in those parts for making moonshine and doing all sorts of crazy shit like that

Can't wait to get it all sorted but it may have to wait until the year after

2 Questions for Matt.

1. What is your line of work?

2. What is the name of the road you posted a picture of?

My dad has been a lot of times (probably 20 or more) doing ski instructing & general holidays etc, he loves the place, always told me its expensive though :S

Friend of mine goes once a year to do a snow rally, loves the country, hates the cost :S

It's oil & gas related, we're a supplier of crane ropes to the Offshore Industry. Lots of design houses in Norway means a lot of trips there!

It's the Atlantic Ocean Road, close to Molde
