saggy seats, just by looikng at the pics.

Or in the driver seat otherwise the rear coilovers will snap.

Take it your looking at the R53 if so....
whining charger.
The use coolent and i mean really use.
Run flats are crap but its a trade off.
Power steering gets some issues (not sure if thats the later turbo ones though)

went to see it and i couldn't find anything wrong, just had a service at bmw and its got full bmw stamped history and it drove really nice tbh

Make sure steering wheel doesn't make any noises when turned as bearings are common to wear.
Coolant bottle bracket can break more common on early ones though.
Make sure the box goes through the gears ok.
No excessive whining from the PAS pump (a little is acceptable as all i've heard do a small bit)
