Can anyone help me my emissions failed on the mot today the read out was

66% co but a pass should be 30%. It past on idle but failed on both fast idles any help would be great

CAT worse case,

you could try a fuel cleaner and get it very very hot and try it but doesnt always work, and you will have to get the tester to do it without actually retesting it otherwise you will have to have another full Mot

not just high co no, but a co reading like that with everything else a pass then its likely to be the CAT

steve a leaking exhaust would make the lambda reading high

i had exactly same on my E36. lambda just passed but the CO level was 2 times over the limit. new lambda sorted it.
