Yea from what i can gather theres off the shelf bits that way on so i should be finr for those... Although a tad skint. Its not a rush project so if something costs a bit extra then i have time to save. My only worry is if a half built engine will be ok sitting about

Meant parts in the engine... Thats are fitted already.. suppose i could fit the sump and have oil in. Enough to lubricate

would not worry really, normally once its all back together and engine and filter are primed with oil you will turn it by hand to build up the oil pressure.
as AK said just block any holes or way in and make sure no water gets in.
